India's startup ecosystem has rapidly evolved over the past decade, emerging as one of the largest and most dynamic ecosystems in the world. To provide active support to India’s continuously growing startup arena, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), has launched an innovative digital platform the Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry (BHASKAR).
With
the rise in unicorn startups, India needs such platform that will serve as a
comprehensive resource hub, offering tools and knowledge that facilitate the
entire entrepreneurial journey, from ideation to execution. This initiative
is part of the Startup India program and will centralize collaboration
among various stakeholders, including startups, investors, mentors, service
providers, and government bodies.
Aligned
with the government’s vision, this platform aims to empower
entrepreneurs by addressing the challenges they face. It will leverage the
potential of India’s vibrant startup community, which consists of over 146,000
DPIIT-recognized startups. This will introduce personalized BHASKAR IDs
for each participant, allowing for easier interaction and enhanced
discoverability of relevant opportunities.
This
initiative will act as a catalyst for networking and collaboration among
startups, investors, and mentors, facilitating smooth interactions. By
consolidating resources, BHASKAR will provide immediate access to essential
tools and knowledge, enabling faster decision-making and scaling for startups.

and collaborators with ease.
